The 3 month and 6 month plans give you the respective time period to use the plan features and the privileges are withdrawn as soon as the plan expires. The unlimited plans are very useful in cases where the user is not sure of the duration it is likely to take for a match to materialize. This plan works out cheaper and than renewing shorter duration plans repeatedly. However, most of users purchase 6 month plans which gives them a fairly long duration in which to find their match!
